Literacy and Math Achievement Academies

Reading Academies
Senate Bill (SB) 925 establishes literacy achievement academies for teachers who provide reading instruction to students at the kindergarten or first, second, or third grade level. SB 972 establishes reading-to-learn academies for teachers who provide reading comprehension instruction to students at the fourth or fifth grade level.

Math Academies
SB 934 establishes mathematics achievement academies for teachers who provide mathematics instruction to students at the kindergarten or first, second, or third grade level.

TEA Unique ID Number
The 2016 Math (Grades 2 and 3) and Reading Academies (Grades K and 1) are currently in session for teachers of record for grades K-3 from eligible campuses.  To be eligible for the stipend, teachers must provide the TEA Unique ID number and provide the number during the academy session.  Please use the following link to access or request a TEA Unique ID Number:  Click to Request TEA Unique ID Number

Registration for Summer 2017
Registration for Summer 2017 opens May 1, 2017.  If your campus is on either eligibility list, teachers of record for the academy grade levels are eligible to attend.  Once all requirements for the training are completed, eligible participants may earn a stipend of $350.  Please register at Connect20:  https://txr20.escworks.net/
